R2 Apiary & Cut Flowers is a local business that sells cut flowers, jars of honey, heirloom vegetables, and candles straight from the farm. Also, at times the barn is used for rustic, elegant wedding ceremonies.

Objective
For this assignment, we met with the owner of R2 Apiary & Cut Flowers. She wanted a logo design that included a black background. She wanted her customers to think of both cut flowers and honey when seeing her logo. She liked the colors gold, silver, and white so I chose to also include those in my logo designs.
The Logo
For this design, I placed an actual photograph of a flower inside the R2 to capture the texture of the flower. The dashed line represents the circle of life that the bee and flower are part of.
Bee Design
I designed a specific bee to identify with the brand – whether it is in the logo or alone. I filled the bee wings with a honeycomb pattern that uses dark gray to create definition and flower shapes. The gold stripes on the body also have a flower pattern.
