Objective
This assignment was to create home and secondary webpage designs using information from the existing website for content. Some images were provided to us to use, as well as from the website. Additionally, we created a Facebook cover and profile image to promote summer VBS.
Home & Salvation Page
The church didn’t have a logo so I used brown lines going in the shape of a cross to feature the name. I thought this could be used for a signature touch elsewhere. Also, I found inspiration thinking of cards that sit in the back of pews so I gave the white menu bar and “card” images on the salvation page a “paper texture” for that look.
Profile Image
These social media designs were both created in Adobe Photoshop using the same basic color palette from the web designs. I also stayed with the same line pattern framing the church’s name for consistency.
I added in bright colors and focused on using shapes and fonts that are reminiscent of a fair.
Facebook Banner Design
I repeated the colorful dots here to tie this in with the profile image. The ticket stubs are textured to look like paper, repeating that concept from the cards on the secondary web page design.
